I started with DTC to rehab my lower back due to some slipped discs. With my goal just to be able to get in and out of my car without grimacing in pain, I never expected that I would get in the best shape of my life at 60 years old! Not only did my back pain go away, I am stronger, more flexible, and healthier than I have ever been. Kettlebell is a great total body workout focusing on full body movements involving the core, improving flexibility, and overall strength and toning!
Xtreme Kick mixes cardio, kicking, punching, boot camp style drills, and leg conditioning. Get a total body workout and sweat like you’ve never sweat before! Not only can you break up your routine, but you can also get your aggravations out!
Audra, a former New England Patriot Cheerleader, designs a fun, energetic, cardio blasting dance class for all skill levels. Combining dance steps with heart pumping cardiovascular sequences.
Outdoor group exercise class that will switch things up from your normal routine. Combining walking, running, and various outdoor drills such as stair climbing, sprints, relay races, calisthenics, and other boot camp type drills.
In this Yoga class we will be practicing yoga postures (asana), basic breathing (pranayama) and techniques to invoke relaxation and cultivate inner peace for a mind-body fitness experience.
Vinyasa Yoga flows. Once the class starts it does not stop for 60 minutes. It consists of a combination of flowing Yoga poses, and holdings of key postures. Once warm (probably sweating) the practice shifts to yoga poses that open major muscle groups, taking advantage of warm, pliable muscles. Poses include a balance series, backbends, inversion, ab work and hip openers. It is complete, aerobic (in the sense of increasing lung capacity and efficiency), anaerobic, builds tone, improves balance. The practice helps to make strong but short muscles longer and stronger. At the same time, we emphasize awareness of the breath and it also becomes a practice in mindful concentration.
Pilates is a body conditioning routine that uses the “core” or “powerhouse” to build flexibility, strength, endurance and coordination without adding muscle bulk. Result of Pilates are increased circulation and a longer leaner appearance.
A high energy aerobic workout designed to keep you moving and boost your fat-burning capabilities. This class is filled with dynamic intervals of punches, kicks and power drills. This class will break up your regular exercise program and burn mega calories.
Butts and Gutts
Dexter Training has combined upper-body toning, lower-body toning and abs with sports drills and calorie crunching calisthenics to get Boot Camp! This class will push you with dynamic energy and motivation. The mixture of strength exercises with heart-pounding cardio boosts fat loss and keeps your heart rate soaring.
This class combines Cardio Kickboxing with dynamic Boot Camp movements. It is a high energy class that is one hour of cardio determined to make you sweat.
