Barbecue Cheeseburger

This is my new favorite!
Laura and I had the pleasure of actually hanging out with Guy Fieri at a fundraiser a few years back. He was a great guy, funny too. The best part was that he took over a kitchen in the house where the fund raiser was. He had a crowd of people surrounding him, and put on a show. He threw so many things into the mix, I was afraid to eat it (being the fussy eater that I am)- but when one of the worlds most famous chefs tells you to take a bite, you don’t say “no”. It was the most amazing burger I have ever tasted.
Now, this recipe of mine this week has nothing in common in what he made that day- except for the fact that I am using his Barbecue Sauce!
Ingredients
• 4 oz. 90% lean ground beef patty
• Reduced fat shredded mexican cheese
• Guy Fieri Bourbon and Brown Sugar Barbeque Sauce (deee-licious)
Directions
• Grill burger to your desired level.
• Sprinkle cheese on burger before its done, so it has enough time to melt.
• Pour Barbeque sauce over and eat!

I prefer lean ground beef over ground turkey because #1 – it tastes much better, and #2- it only has 1 more gram of fat per ounce (which I think is worth it for the taste).
This is great over a salad, or with a side of veggies. Great source of protein, and healthy fats.
Most importantly, for all of us busy people who struggle with trying to eat healthy…..FAST AND EASY!!!
